DISABILITY CATEGORY
“Join Our Inclusive Ride for Sight – Cycling Together to Restore the Gift of Sight!”
We all know that physical fitness is a strong component of your general health and vision health. Our cycling event in February 2024 is open to everyone, regardless of your ability or background. Whether you’re a visually impaired cyclist, a para cyclist, a hand cyclist, or just passionate about making a difference, we invite you to be part of our mission to raise money for vital eye disease research.
We have volunteer pilots with tandems who would love to assist you in getting into the sport of cycling. For the novices, there will be an 8 km- just for a fun event and for the more adventuresome a 62km event.
There will be training sessions too and people to assist you.
What makes our event special:
- Inclusivity is our core value – we celebrate diversity and welcome participants of all abilities.
- Ride at your own pace, in your own style, and experience the joy of cycling in a supportive and encouraging environment.
- We have several volunteer “pilots” ready to ride on a tandem bicycle with our vision loss and disabled community.
Your Participation Matters:
By pedaling with us, you’ll be contributing directly to the fight against retinal vision loss.
Connect, Celebrate, and Contribute:
- Connect with like-minded individuals and create lasting bonds.
- Celebrate the power of determination and community.
- Contribute to a cause that’s changing lives and bringing hope to those affected by vision loss
What You’ll Gain:
- A sense of accomplishment and the satisfaction of making a real impact.
- Inspiring stories of resilience and strength.
- A chance to be part of a dynamic, inclusive, and welcoming cycling community.
- A limited edition medal.
