Samantha, Sonja and Manny are taking on the responsibility of managing the youth portfolio.

To create a platform to support and inspire South African youth with Inherited Retinal Disorders (IRD) to overcome and adapt to their circumstances and to ultimately become the best version of themselves.

Samantha Daniels
My name is Samantha Daniels and I reside in Cape Town, Western Cape.
I am a mother of 3 brave children and I have a genetic eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), which I was diagnosed with at age 4.
SONJA LEE MAHABEER
Sonja Lee has been a member of Retina South Africa since 2015. Sonja has an LLB Degree, she has also completed a Conveyancing Course and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Sonja has Macular Dystrophy.
MANNY MOODLEY
Manny has an LLB Degree and is a practicing lawyer in Cape Town. In 2019 Manny was elected as Deputy Chair of Western Cape Provincial Executive Committee of the South African National Council of the Blind.
Manny was Chairman of the Western Cape branch of Retina South Africa until their incorporation into the new national structure.
Manny has served on the National Management Committee of Retina South Africa since 2014. Manny has Stargardts Disease.
