First ever Clinical trial in South Africa
Retina South Africa is proud to announce the first ever clinical trial in South Africa to test a treatment for an inherited retinal disease- Stargardt Disease. The Acucela Inc. USA, multicentre trial will test if the drug Emixustat will slow the vision loss in patients with this condition which leads to loss of central vision.

Dis-Chem Ride4Sight 2020
The Dis-Chem Ride For Sight 2020 was held on Sunday 16th February . Over 4500 Cyclists took to the street of Boksburg to cycle to restore the gift of sight. Dusty Day won the 116km Super Classic from an elite field of top South African cyclists.
